A get-well card they can reread
Kindnotes is a get-well card you send as one link: an envelope that opens on their phone, a note in a real hand, and nothing they have to do except scroll. For someone in bed with a phone, it is the card that reaches them.
Flowers wilt and a text scrolls away. A card they can open again on a bad afternoon is different. Write about a plan for when they're up, and one thing you'll handle while they're not.
The Sage look is the quiet one: a mint sky, a sage envelope, soft paper.
The design for it
The envelope in the Sage look. About the envelope.
How it works
1. Pick the design
The envelope, the polaroid or the locket. Each one is drawn and animated by hand.
2. Write the note
It sets itself in a handwriting hand and fits the paper. A photo and a voice note if you like.
3. Send one link
It opens on any phone, no app and no account. You keep an edit link; changes go live on theirs.
What to write
Start with one specific thing. Four ways in:
- When you're up, the first thing we're doing is
- Don't answer this. Just read it twice.
- I've got the following handled, so don't think about it:
- You've had worse weeks. Remember
Questions
- Is it easy to open on a phone one-handed?
- Yes. Tap the link, scroll. The card does the rest.
- Can several of us send one?
- One writer per card. Each of you can send your own; they will get a stack.
- Does it play sound?
- Only if you record a voice note, and only when they press play.
